Diet for diabetes is simple but you need to know how to check the carbs. How do you know which foods to eat? Maybe you like rice or pasta or grains or other carb foods that require insulin to process these foods.

The amount of carbohydrates or carbohydrate (CHO) foods can I eat? Well it depends on whether you would need to lose weight, gain weight or maintain your weight.

I think the most prudent way to eat foods they like and at the same time not to put too much strain on the pancreas for insulin, spitting is to eat in moderation. Diet diet diabetes type 2 diabetes or 2 is basically the diet that I am talking about.

What I mean by moderation is using Visual technique of plate. This is a way to calculate the consumption, as well as much carbohydrate foods or carbohydrate is included with your meal.

What does Visual technique of plate. For a type 2 diabetes diet means watch your dish with the food product. If all you see is the rice, or grits or sweet foods as the top piece of the pot, then you are off base. Diabetes 2 diet contains green leafy vegetable or salad, protein food (eggs, meat, fish, cheese) and a small portion of carbohydrate vegetables or rice, pasta or any other carbohydrates.

Since I work as a nurse, I try to explain to patients that you don't have to go to extremes. Diets for diabetes no matter which culture and foods that you like and that has a great flavor. It is important to check a little carbohydrate vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, peas, potatoes) and CHO food (rice, pasta and other foods carb) at every meal. Diet for diabetes means more control over the CHO is eaten.

If you make up your mind there and want peas and carrots, then eat very small amount rice or pasta. If you eat green leafy vegetables, you can eat extra rice or pasta.

With type 2 diabetes diet, protein foods do not raise blood sugar, so you can add more fish, eggs, meat, etc with meals. As long as your cholesterol is too high (meat and eggs) and you're not a kidney patient, there should be no reason why it cannot eat protein foods. Protein foods in the diet for diabetes is that protein contains its own natural fat actually helps to curb your appetite.

Every time you eat a meal or snack, should always include a small amount of protein that has its natural fat. Protein provides its own natural fat tends to maintain stable blood sugar spike and not release immediately. That can happen if one has a piece of fruit and without proteins with it. Also, eating only a piece of fruit can make you hungrier. This is where the protein helps to curb your appetite.

I tell my patients not to drink juices unless your blood sugar is low. It is better to eat fruit and drink the juice.

As always, you should get to consult with your doctor before changing your diet.
