Anyone who owns or has owned a dog took their dog showing signs of illness. Many vets will tell you that it would be much easier to diagnose the symptoms of sick dogs, if only they could talk. Not that this is the case, you must carefully observe the outward symptoms of dog diseases in order to make a correct diagnosis. If you feel that your dog has severe stress, including breathing problems, collapse and loss of consciousness, had direct contact with poisonous snakes, insects or plants, ingested poison as antifreeze or involved with severe trauma you should contact your veterinarian immediately for consultation and assistance.
All dogs at some time in their life will exhibit some symptoms of dog sick. If you have the dog had properly vaccinated including rabies vaccinations yearly or bi annual veterinarian normally will do a good thorough examination to ensure that there are no obvious symptoms of canine diseases. Most of the time this will include a sample and blood work stool examination. This is the time to bring any concerns or observed the problems you have on your dog's health. You should write down any observations you have made before the test. If you follow these procedures, the possibility that your dog has a serious problem will be significantly diminished. However even a properly cared for the dog may develop serious symptoms of dog sick.
Sick dog symptoms may include some of the following:
· Strong ear smell, shaking his head, exhaust: mites, yeast infection or mites.
· Cough: Heartworms, Kennel Cough, heart disease or pneumonia.
· Passing blood in the Urine: internal injuries, kidney or urinary tract infections.
· Bad Breath and bleeding gums: periodontal disease.
· Constipation/trouble defecating: change of diet, intestinal blockage.
· At high temperature (over 102): viral or bacterial infection
· Increased drinking and urination, diabetes, kidney disease or liver disease.
· Urination problems: kidney stones or kidney disease.
· Blood or worms in the feces, intestinal infections, worms or other parasites.
· Vomiting/ingestion of grass or other vegetation: worms, poison or gastrointestinal problems.
It should be understood that most pets will show one or more symptoms of dog sick at the same time. Make sure you keep notes symptoms that you observed including time of each episode. All will help your vet to make a correct diagnosis of the disease. Many times these symptoms will pass without further complications. If symptoms of dog diseases persist for more than 24 hours or is dog shows signs of apparent stress so it's time to act.
