Some people think that just because they do not show any particular type 2 diabetes symptom that they are safe from diabetes. This may not always be true though and understanding the true nature of a type 2 diabetes symptom may help save your life.

The Figures

When you have Type 2 Diabetes condition, it means that the cells in your body are not reacting properly to the work of insulin which is supposed to open up the cells to glucose. Without glucose in your cells you will have no clear source of energy.

More people suffer from Type 2 diabetes than type 1 diabetes. It is estimated that at least 90% of diabetics belong to the type 2 category. The sad fact though is that more than 6% of diabetics are not aware that they have the condition. The lack of awareness may be due to a dismissal of seemingly harmless type 2 diabetes symptoms or a total lack of warning signs.

Different Symptoms

Type 1 diabetes is less common than type 2 but it may be more difficult to handle because it involves the inability of the pancreas to perform its job of producing insulin. Despite the difference in cause however, both types of diabetes share the same symptoms. A diabetic might begin to feel frequently tired, thirsty and may have occasionally blurry vision and wounds that do not heal quickly.

The difference in the set of symptoms in types 1 and 2 is the onset. A type 1 diabetes symptom can develop rapidly and worsen in the span of a few weeks. Even with the rapid symptom development however, cell damage may already have been occurring for some time before type 1 diabetes is finally discovered. A type 2 diabetes symptom on the other hand is not as obvious and as bad as a type 1 symptom.

Effects of No Symptoms

Effects of not detecting or not having a type 2 diabetes symptom may be drastic. The key to effectively managing this chronic disease is early detection. Once you fail to detect a type 2 diabetes symptom however, you can suffer from complications that are even more difficult to reverse. Some diabetics only realize that they have type 2 diabetes because of complications like retinopathy, heart ailments, kidney problems and nerve deaths. A complication is therefore their only type 2 diabetes symptom.

Uncommon Risk Factors

Even those individuals who do not experience a single type 2 diabetes symptom should be cautious especially if you are overweight and have a family history of type 2 diabetes. You should however also consider yourself at high risk of developing diabetes if you are over 45 years old, had a baby over 9 pounds and had a history of gestational diabetes or pre diabetes. For undetermined reasons, individuals who are Asian, African, Hispanic and American are at greater risk of developing diabetes.

What Has to be Done

Needless to say, you need the professional advice of doctors to help you manage your condition or your type 2 diabetes symptom. There are however basic things you should remember on your own. You should monitor your glucose levels, take your medication as prescribed, follow your diet and exercise plans and watch and manage your weight.

Before I can answer above question, I must first briefly explain the definition of disease and symptom. Disease is a disordered organ or system of the body resulting from the effects of external environmental or internal development errors. Symptom is any phenomenon or sign accompanying something and serving as evidence or indication of it.

Diabetes Type 2 can be a disease or symptom, depending on which level you are looking at the problem. This difference of perspective can determine whether your diabetic problem can be cured or not.

Conventionally, diabetes is perceived as a degenerative disease in which the function or structure of the tissues or organs (pancreas and liver) that is responsible in regulating the sugar content in the body progressively deteriorate over time. It is mainly due to lifestyle choices such as exercise and diet.

As with any other diseases, be it degenerative or infectious, diabetes is usually treated with all sorts of drugs or medicines. This approach has been practiced since the advent of modern medicine and it is still the mainstream and almost compulsory way of treating diabetes patients.

But there is one big puzzle all those conventional diabetes drugs or treatments which it is contradictory and confusing. Look at our medical 'industry', more and more hospitals are being built, new drugs are created by Big Pharmas every other months or so, the cost of medical bills is growing like a balloon. But the number of diabetes patients not only does not decrease, but it is growing with the industry!

Do not look at the official statistic result that is published by the research institutions which are indirectly funded by Big Pharmas. Observe with your own eyes and ears, try talk to the people you know to find how many of them are suffering from hyperglysemia and ask them how effective are those diabetes drugs they are depending on.

That is the problem when they are treating diabetes (especially Type 2) as a disease. It is like building a never ending vicious cycle that ensure steady stream of income for the Big Pharmas listed in Fortune 500.

If you start to look at the problem of diabetes or hyperglysemia as symptom instead of disease, you will realize the problem is not as complicated as it seems to be. Diabetes is actually one of the symptoms or warning signs that tells you the internal body environment has changed. You should focus on reversing the internal body environment instead of wasting your time, money and life trying all sorts of drugs which could be not much better than a placebo. Deal with the root, not the symptoms!

If you have shaky hands and feel not able to concentrate before lunch no matter if you had a snack after breakfast we can suspect you are suffering of reactive hypoglycemia you can just be in the initial phase, and this can just be an annoying crash but if not treated, this condition is just going to get worse. Here we are going to see how to stabilize your blood sugar levels to help you avoid those crashes.

Commonly hypoglycemia occurs due to adrenal fatigue, adrenal glands produce cortisol and with these not working properly we got lowered blood cortisol. The liver has to work harder to convert glycogen into blood sugar, during stress insulin levels are increased because the cells demand more energy, and without the right cortisol levels to elevate the blood sugar levels the increased demand is impossible to meet.

People suffering of adrenal fatigue when even under mild stress like an argument at work can not produce the increased demand for blood glucose as a result of the fatigued adrenals unable to cope with the cortisol needed , increasing the insulin at the same time that the demand of glucose is increasing, setting the stage for tragedy.

You can not treat diabetes low blood sugar with coffee and sweet snacks, this only throws your body into a constant roller coaster ride trough the day, at the end you just going to fell exhausted without having done anything. Is like driving with the brakes and flooring the accelerator at the same time.

More than sixty percent of people with diabetes low blood sugar go on to become diabetics!

You can be in the other side of the fence with an hypoglycemia diet while treating your adrenal glands and in less than 3 months you can improve remarkably.

Are you concerned about adult onset diabetes symptoms?

That likely means you or someone you love may have the disease. I'm sorry. It can still be devastating despite recent advances in medicine. It's still the number one cause of kidney failure and blindness and the number seven cause of death in America.

The good news is that you're looking for symptoms. And if you get out ahead of the disease you can stop it and even turn it around.

But what do you look for?

Here's the top of the list of adult onset diabetes symptoms (and a very important overlooked fact at the end):

Unquenchable thirst and frequent urination.

Why these two?

They go hand-in-hand. What's happening is that your body's cells are no longer taking in sugar effectively (insulin normally triggers them to do this). So it floats free in your blood.

Once it gets above a concentration of 180 mg/dl, your kidney can't filter it out, and it gets into your urine. Now your urine is soaking up water to dilute the sugar. So your kidneys fill, you have to pee, and you're thirsty.

That's your signal that you have too much sugar in your blood and it's the cause and the beginning of all the bad things you've heard about diabetes.

The basic problem of diabetes is that your cells can't absorbe glucose well. So it ends up in the wrong place.

It's in your blood and urine and not in your cells.

Glucose is your energy source. And your cells can't burn enough because they can't get enough. So your body may start tearing down your muscles and fat, trying to find more.

It can overwhelm your kidneys ability to filter it out. And it can make your eyes swell so you can't focus.

Now, here's the overlooked fact:

You won't experience a lot of the symptoms of adult onset diabetes until your blood glucose hits 180 mg/dl. And you can already be damaging your body before that.

Here's the key to diabetes health - your habits. If you have habits that don't help, your condition gets worse. If you have healthy habits, you live a long life.

3) Do you often blame it as sleeping of hands and fingers?

If you have answered "yes" to any of the above mentioned question then I am happy that you are spending time in reading this article; as the numbness and tingling in hands and fingers symptom diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes onsets gradually. Most people remain unaware that they are suffering from diabetes. Diabetes is a medical condition that causes the blood sugar levels to rise. High blood sugar levels cause much destruction. One such complication is numbness or tingling in hands and fingers. It is the earliest warning sign of diabetes.

This numbness and tingling in hands and fingers have various names like:

* Sensation loss

* Restless syndrome (leg)

* Paresthesias

If you are still in doubt whether you are suffering from diabetes or not, then it is better to check the following symptoms:

* Blurriness in vision

* Frequently feeling numbness and tingling

* Unquenchable thirst

* Excessive urination

* Increase in fatigue

* Mood swings

* Unexplained weight loss

It is not recommended to self diagnose diabetes. One must visit doctor for the exact diagnosis. Before attending the doctor you must keep a close eye on the above mentioned signs of diabetes so that you can intelligently answer the questions of the doctor.

Some diabetes related complications are:

* Heart diseases

* Eye diseases

* Kidney diseases

* Hypoglycemia

* Urological problems

It is not uncommon to catch numbness and tingling in hands and fingers as a symptom of diabetes. This sensation is similar to falling asleep of hands and fingers. Numbness and tingling in hands and fingers are defined as being unable to feel the touch on the skin. So it is similar to the falling sleep sensation.

Numbness and tingling in hands and fingers can be serious. One must call his doctor immediately if;

* A person has rash

* A person often feels dizzy

* A person has numbness and tingling in hands, fingers and wrists

* A person has numbness and tingling in legs which gets worse if he walks around

* A person has pain in forearms, neck and fingers

Diabetes symptom is very often understated. As a result, Diabetes often goes undiagnosed because many of its symptoms seem so harmless.Initially, the diabetes symptom is subtle or innocuous. It is no surprise that, you could have diabetes for months or even years and not even know it.

There are millions of people in the world who are unaware of the fact that they are diabetic. Awareness of the possible diabetes symptom can facilitate an early diagnosis and treatment, and ensure a better health for lifetime. In either cases of type1 and type 2 diabetes, signs and symptoms are more likely to be alike as the blood sugar is high. It could be due to less production of insulin, or no production or insulin resistance. In both cases there is inadequate glucose in the cells, which can be recognized through certain signs and symptoms. These symptoms are quickly eased once the Diabetes is treated .It will lessen the chances of developing serious health problems.

The most common diabetes symptom is excessive thirst and increased urination. They are typical symptoms.When you have diabetes, excess sugar or glucose develops in your blood. It puts extra load on the kidneys to filter and absorb the excess sugar. If the kidneys can't carry on, the excess sugar is excreted into the urine along with fluids pull out from the tissues. This activates more frequent urination, which may cause dehydration. The more you drink fluids to satisfy your thirst, the more you will urinate.

Another diabetes symptom is a flu-like feeling. One may experience tiredness, weakness and poor appetite. The reason being uncontrolled or poorly controlled diabetes obstructs the body's ability to convert sugar into energy. Instead of energizing the body cells, the sugar stays in your blood. The outcome is you end up feeling tired and exhausted.

Variations in the Body weight are also a possible diabetes symptom. Loss of sugar through frequent urination, results in loss of calories. The presence of diabetes prevents the sugar from your food from reaching your cells. This leads to frequent hunger which will result in rapid weight loss, especially if you have type 1 diabetes.On the other hand, increase in body weight is an equally serious concern. Over weight makes your tissues more resistant to the insulin action. This increases your blood sugar level. The cells become more anti with the increase in fatty tissues. Hence, obesity is a serious factor for developing type 2 diabetes.

Unclear or blurred viision is yet another diabetes symptom. High levels of blood sugar pull fluid from your tissues, including the lenses of your eyes, thus damaging your ability to focus .Diabetes needs immediate attention .If ignored; it promotes new blood vessels to form in your retina which is the back part of your eye, thereby damaging the old vessels. In some, this may bring minor vision problems such as dark spots, flashing lights or rings around lights. Rarely, diabetes can lead to blindness in some cases.

Diabetes can slow down the process of healing of sores or infections. This is because the body has lost most of its ability to challenge infections due to high levels of blood sugar. Natural healing process of the body is also weakened as a result. Women with diabetes are troubled by bladder and vaginal infections..

Loss of sensation in the hands and feet are another diabetes symptom. The excess blood sugar can damage the nerve. There may be tingling and a feeling of numbness in the hands and feet, as well as intense pain in the arms, hands, legs and feet.The risk of infection in the gums and in the bones that hold the teeth in place increases in diabetics. This is because the condition weakens the resistance towards germs. As a result, the gums may move away from the teeth, eventually the teeth may become loose, there may develop sores or pockets of pus in the gums .The risk is even more if one previously had a gum infection even before diabetes developed.

One must contact a physician as soon as the symptom is evident. If you notice any possible diabetes symptoms,it is absolutely vital to take all the body hints seriously and contact your doctor. The earlier the condition is diagnosed, the sooner the treatment can begin. Diabetes is a serious condition. Nevertheless, it is not the end of the road. By proper and timely medication, balanced diet and regular exercise a diabetic can enjoy a normal, healthy and happy life.

Diabetes, Confusing and Complicated. Diabetes is an often misunderstood and quite complicated disease to many. The symptoms alone, are enough to confuse, even the medical professionals. Most people would have a difficult time in identifying even one diabetes symptom. This article will attempt to clearly define the symptoms of diabetes and also briefly outline the two types of diabetes. And try to make simple, a very complex disease to the masses.

Diabetes, Type I

Diabetes Type I is often know by the name of Juvenile Diabetes. This is due to the fact that many are diagnosed in childhood with the symptoms of Type I Diabetes. It has also been called insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) because insulin injections must be taken daily.

Some of the diabetes symptoms include:

Increased Urination

Increased Thirst

Weight Loss

Increased Appetite

These symptoms usually develop over a few days to weeks. Occasionally, some people notice symptoms after an illness, such as the flu. They may think the diabetes symptoms are related to the flu and not seek medical care early.

Sometimes, a person may develop symptoms of diabetic ketoacidosis before seeking medical care.

Symptoms include:

Flushed, hot, dry skin.

Loss of appetite, abdominal pain, and vomiting.

A strong, fruity breath odor (similar to nail polish remover or acetone).

Fast and shallow breathing.

Restlessness, drowsiness, difficulty waking up, confusion, or coma

Type 1 Diabetes can develop at any age; however, it usually develops in children and young adults, which is why it used to be called juvenile diabetes.

Diabetes, Type 2

Would you know one diabetes symptom of Type-2 diabetes? Discerning one diabetes symptom over the
other, can be trying. But this article will try and make it more simplified. The definition of Diabetes Type-2 is characterized by high levels of sugar in the blood. It happens when the body is unable to respond to insulin in an appropriate manner. This is the most common type of diabetes.

Often, people with Type 2 diabetes have no symptoms at all. If you do have symptoms, they may include:

Increased thirst

Increased urination

Increased appetite

Fatigue

Blurred vision

Frequent or slow-healing infections

Erectile dysfunction

Insulin resistance refers to the fact that insulin produced by your pancreas is unable to get inside fat and muscle cells to provide energy. Since the cells are failing to get the insulin they require, the pancreas produces more and more.

This causes high rises in blood sugar. Hyperglycemia is the technical term for this problem. The key to learning and remembering what constitutes a diabetes symptom is to think of when the diabetes first started. Type 1 is known as insulin dependent diabetes (it starts as a juvenile) and Type 2 (later develops in adulthood) is non-insulin dependent diabetes.

Many of the symptoms of diabetes can be so subtle that often times the signs of diabetes can go undetected by those that are diagnosed with the disease. Chronic fatigue is one of those symptoms.

Unfortunately most times it can be quite easy to overlook many of the symptoms of diabetes, for example, frequent feelings of thirst, more than the usual sweet cravings as well as slight feelings of depression are symptoms that are associated with many different conditions and diseases. Diabetics can often go without any knowledge that they are indeed suffering from such a devastating disease, and then all suddenly they're hit with a heart attack or stroke, which reveals the devastating news that not only did they just suffer a heart attack or stroke but that he or she is also suffering from diabetes.

Situations like the one previously stated are becoming more and more frequent as millions of Americans are diagnosed with diabetes every year. Because the symptoms of diabetes can masquerade as so many other less threatening problems, often times many people never think a condition that they may be facing at the moment could actually be a pre diabetes symptom.

For example feelings of exhaustion can be one of the telltale symptoms of diabetes. But how many times have any one of us you have ever gone to bed feeling exhausted only to arise with the same feelings of exhaustion? This could be attributed to a host of things. Believe it or not often times an overall feeling of being tired all of the time can be one of the signs of diabetes.

It is important to pay attention to one's own body. If you are going to bed at a reasonable hour that is sufficient enough that it should provide an adequate amount of sleep, and you are still feeling tired upon arising in the mornings, it may be time to discuss this with your health care provider. He or she can prescribe tests that can evaluate your blood sugar level that will determine if in fact you are experiencing any symptoms of diabetes. If you are at risk for diabetes more tests will likely be prescribed.

If high blood sugar levels happen to be what is causing your fatigue then you can take steps that will help to combat these symptoms of diabetes. Unfortunately many people are unaware of the fact that they are walking around with the onset of diabetes. By the time they discover that their symptoms where in fact diabetes, much more damage has began the damage to their bodies. This unfortunately can play havoc in so many people's lives

For example, often time feeling tired is not only one of the symptoms of diabetes but it is also often acquainted with the flu or even the common cold. Extreme feelings of fatigue can be a sign that something is wrong with our health.

If your cat vomiting is regular, it could be a cat symptom of a larger issue, such as a gastrointestinal disorder, a blockage or even cancer, kidney failure or diabetes. Since the cause of the vomiting is often unknown at its outset, it's important to be aware of your cat's ordinary routine. That way, if vomiting does occur, you can tell your cat's vet about its history - when it started, what might have brought it on, its frequency and intensity, etc.

For example, if your pet is throwing up after eating or doesn't want to eat at all, you will want to make an appointment immediately with your veterinarian. However, if your cat vomits, then eats and plays normally, it just may mean he had an upset stomach.

The actual course of treatment will depend on the root cause of the vomiting. Your vet will discuss the foods your cat is eating, any signs of weight loss and any other medical problems or symptoms you may have noticed.

If necessary, additional tests may be required, such a complete blood count, biochemical panel, urinalysis, fecal exam, X-rays, ultrasounds and an endoscopy, if required.

Besides dietary problems, your cat may be vomiting because he has a hairball. Usually your cat can get it out themselves, but sometimes a ball gets tangled up and he will try to vomit instead. To reduce future cat hairballs, you may want to buy a hairball formula of food or get an additive.

Your cat may also be vomiting due to morning sickness. Just like us, cats can get queasy when they're pregnant and vomiting is just part of the process of becoming a mother. Less frequently, vomiting can be a sign of heat stroke, gastroenteritis, an obstruction in the esophagus, worms or even vomiting.

Most of these can be treated but you will need to see a vet who will examine the cat and prescribe treatment for the vomiting or any underlying health problem that is revealed.

Treatment is usually progressive, starting with something as simple as changing your cat's diet (if the food isn't agreeing with them) or removing any toxins in the home. Your vet will initially ask you to withhold your cat's food for three to four hours to see if the vomiting goes away. If he hasn't vomited for a while, you can then add small amounts of water. If no vomiting, more water can be put down. Use a measuring cup to monitor how much water your cat is receiving. You may want to log his intake so you can share it with the doctor.

Before returning your cat to his regular diet, you'll want to introduce a bland food, such as small amounts of Purina EN or Iams Recovery Diet. A mix of boiled rice or potatoes along with lean hamburger, or even low-fat cottage cheese, can also work. If the vomiting continues, call your vet promptly.

Sometimes dogs seem to shiver and shake all over, worrying their owners. Here are a few reasons why your dog may be trembling.

• Dogs get cold and shiver just like we do, especially those with very short hair. That's why you see so many Chihuahuas in sweaters, and why the little dogs seem to be shaking all the time.

• A trembling dog can also be a dog experiencing pain. If your dog seems to hesitate before doing a normal activity, it might indicate that something hurts. A sore back or an upset stomach can make a dog shake.

• A fearful dog is a shaky dog. If your pet is scared or nervous, she may tremble all over and run to hide. There are many dogs that are anxious by nature, and shake often.

• Shaking and trembling that doesn't stop can indicate something more serious than a tummy ache. Diabetes and kidney disease, among other serious medical conditions, can cause shaking in a dog's legs. Trembling paired with weakness could mean that there is damage or illness in the brain or spine. Poisoning can also cause shaking, which is usually followed by seizures.

Now that you know some of the common causes of trembling and shaking in your dog, you might be wondering how to tell one from the other.

• If you are feeling cold, and your dog is shivering, she's probably chilly. They feel the chill in the air just as much as we do, so you might want to pick up a doggie sweater. They come in several sizes, are not pricey, and keep your pet more comfortable. You can also help by letting your dog in the house when it's cold, or at least providing a warm place for her to go. A bed that is out of the wind and up off the cold ground is ideal, and providing some blankets or an old comforter will give her something to burrow under.

• We all know our dogs well, so you're probably aware already if you have a dog that is prone to nervousness and anxiety. A dog that is nervous will shake when she feels threatened or scared, but won't show any other signs of a problem. Dogs can have an anxiety disorder just like people can, and there are treatments and medications available for them, too. There is no reason for your dog to be a nervous wreck all the time.

• Dogs are great at pretending that everything is fine, even when they are in pain. It is up to you as the owner to spot the subtle signs that your dog may be hurting. In addition to shaking, your dog may seem hesitant to move and refuse to jump or climb stairs. Obviously, limping and moving stiffly are indicative of pain, and a dog that normally knocks you down for his supper who won't come eat is probably hurting. Take him to the vet, who can offer many different kinds of medications and treatments so your pet won't be hurting.

• When the shaking is due to something more serious, there are often some other signs of an underlying problem. Vomiting and depression are often noticed in dogs with kidney or brain disease and diabetes. These conditions can also cause your dog to drink excessive amounts of water.

If you notice any of these last signs and symptoms in your dog, in addition to trembling, take him to a vet. These diseases respond best to treatment when they're caught early.

Also, if you are worried or the shaking doesn't seem to have a cause (or just won't stop), take him to the vet just in case. It is better to get a clean bill of health than to possibly miss something serious.

The next article in this series will discuss coughing in dogs, and the common causes of it.

The article will hopefully help you learn to notice possible serious conditions in your pet before they get out of hand.

Most of us think of our dogs as loved ones, and anything we can do to keep them from getting sick or hurt is well worth the extra reading. Noticing a problem and getting your dog to a vet in time to stop a serious problem is priceless.

Some people think that just because they do not show any symptoms of type 2 diabetes that are safe from diabetes. This may not always be true and understand the true nature of a symptom of diabetes type 2 can help save your life.

The figures

When you have the condition of diabetes type 2, it means that the cells of the body are not reacting correctly to the insulin which should work to open the cells to glucose. Without glucose in your cells do not have any clear source of energy.

Most people suffer from diabetes type 2 diabetes type 1. It is estimated that at least 90% of diabetics are type 2 category. The sad fact is that over 6% of diabetics are unaware they have the condition. The lack of awareness may be due to a dismissal of symptoms of diabetes type 2 seemingly harmless or a total lack of warning signs.

Several symptoms

Type 1 diabetes is less common than type 2, but can be more difficult to handle because it involves the inability of the pancreas to perform his work to produce insulin. Despite the difference in causes however, both types of diabetes share the same symptoms. A diabetic might start feeling often tired, thirsty and may have occasionally blurred vision and sores that do not heal quickly.

The difference in symptoms in the types 1 and 2 is the onset. A symptom of type 1 diabetes can develop rapidly and get worse within a few weeks. Even with rapid symptom development however cell damage may already have been present for some time before of type 1 diabetes is finally discovered. A symptom of diabetes type 2 is not so obvious and so badly as a symptom of type 1.

Effects of no symptoms

Effects of not detect or does not have a symptom of diabetes type 2 can be drastic. The key to effectively manage this chronic disease is early diagnosis. Once you fail to detect a symptom of type 2 diabetes, however, you can suffer complications that are even harder to reverse. Some diabetics only realize they have diabetes type 2 due to complications such as retinopathy, heart ailments, kidney problems and nerve dead. A complication is therefore their only symptom of diabetes type 2.

Uncommon risk factors

Even those who do not is a symptom of single type 2 diabetes should be cautious especially if you are overweight and have a family history of type 2 diabetes. You must however also considered at high risk of developing diabetes if you are more than 45 years, has had a child over 9 pounds and had a history of gestational diabetes or pre diabetes. For undetermined reasons, individuals who are Asian, Hispanic and African American are at greater risk of developing diabetes.

What needs to be done

Needless to say, you need professional advice to doctors to help manage your condition or a symptom of type 2 diabetes. However, there are basic things you should remember on your own. Should monitor glucose levels, take medication as prescribed, follow your diet plans and exercise and watch and manage your weight.
