Type 2 diabetes is the most common type of diabetes, and is responsible for over 80% of diabetes cases worldwide.

Commonly found in adults, but unfortunately nowadays, many adolescents are developing this type due to excess food intake and sedentary lifestyle with little or no exercise.

As should be treated? How should be handled?

The first step is a diabetic must always be aware of your blood sugar levels. Ill have to check his blood sugar levels on a regular basis to ensure does not increase and when it does gets up, takes effective measures to bring it down to tolerable levels.

The next step is to restrict food intake. Basically, diabetes is caused when taking the body for a period of time in more calories than it can handle. This damages the pancreas and leads to insulin resistance. And since insulin breaks down the sugar in the body, too much sugar builds up in the body.

Since carbohydrates are the main source of sugars (glucose) into the body, it is recommended that carbohydrates are responsible for between 40-60% of their daily intake of food for a diabetic. With a reduced carbohydrate intake will reduce the amount of sugar in the blood system.

One should also reduce the intake of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, as this can negate the effect of the low carbohydrate intake. The two can be substituted with fatty saturated fats.

Diet should be kept under a 1,500-1,800 calories per day for food. There are variables in the calorie intake due to factors like height, gender, age and other problems of the persons concerned. What matters is that the diabetic checks his food intake to manage blood sugar levels.

The next step is the exercise. Exercise for me is the most important.

Exercise has the ability not only to burn excess body fat, but also has the natural ability to reduce dietary intake of sick, reducing the appetite for food.

So what kind of exercises are best for a diabetic?

It was discovered that an exercise that is a mix of aerobics and resistance training had the best results on blood sugar levels. Although aerobics and resistance training can be conducted separately, the best results were obtained when they were combined.

The amount of exercise needed is not extreme, but must be consistent. For most people, exercise starts with a bit of fanfare and after a while, interest fades and the operating system stops. Consistency in working regime is key to reduce weight and blood sugar levels.

The truth about diabetes is that, once the weight is well controlled, your blood sugar goes down to tolerable levels.

Most of the sick must ensure that they develop a healthy exercise regime that cling on to bring their Glycemic levels down and also reduce the appetite for food.

Even a brisk 45-minute walk every day or taking the stairs instead of lifts can make a significant difference.

It is common to prescribe drugs for the treatment of diabetes. 2 type, however, responds very well to exercise and a sensible diet.

However, if the above procedure does not appeal to you, maybe you find it too distasteful or tasking, you may want to follow a regimen of drugs.
